Position: PMO Senior/ Lead
Overview:
VPBankhas has been implementing various programs to enhance risk management in compliance with the standards of the State Bank of Vietnam and international benchmarks, such as Basel 2, IFRS 9, biometric technology, and risk reporting systems. The PMO Senior/Expert will oversee respective project management, ensuring the continuity, efficiency, and stability of both business and technology-related programs and projects of the Risk Management Division (RMD).
Responsibilities:
- ProjectManagement:
o Lead and perform end-to-end management for multiple risk management projects(notably Basel 3 implementation).
o Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
o Ensure project scope, schedule, and costs are up-to-date and align with the bank’s project management methodology;
- stakeholder management:
o Peer-to-peer: Support and challenge both business and technical teams in planning and executing tasks, to ensure the quality of deliverables. Facilitate proper communication and collaboration between units to avoid misunderstandings and deliver high-quality results.
o Senior Management: Ensure regular reports (both project progress and business analysis) are up-to-date and well-presented, with timely escalation if needed.
o External vendors: partner and follow up with relevant vendors for necessary POC/ Consultation/Validation/ Audit within the scope of the project.
- Team Development:
o Supervise team members in their respective projects.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment for the PMO team.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager/CRO.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Banking. Solid knowledge in risk management & banking products, and/or relevant professional certificates (e.g. PMP, PRM, FRM) is a plus.
- Experiences:
o Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
o Proven track of managing complex projects and/or leading cross-functional teams.
Key competencies:
- High proficiency in English is a must.
- Highly adaptive and able to quickly catch up on new business domains and concepts.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint reporting.
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency in Agile project management methodology and IT system development life cycle.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong in critical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and coordinating with multiple parties.
