Job Description

The GNSS & Positioning Engineer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and validation of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and positioning functions within an Android Automotive environment. This role requires a deep understanding of GNSS technologies, Android Automotive frameworks, and automotive validation processes, with a focus on Google compliance and xTS certification.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the GNSS Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) within an Android Automotive solution.
  • Create and maintain abstraction layers between different electrical architectures to support multiple projects.
  • Ensure the solution complies with Google’s Android Automotive requirements and proactively track upcoming changes.
  • Integrate and maintain various Dead Reckoning (DR) module solutions for different projects.
  • Lead and/or participate in in-car testing of positioning functions, analyze results, and implement appropriate fixes.
  • Develop and maintain the overall system architecture, considering evolving electrical architectures.
  • Analyze reported bugs, identify root causes, and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Ensure all implementations align with Google Automotive requirements and successfully pass xTS certification testing.

Job Requirement

Must-Have:

  • Strong understanding of GNSS technologies (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou).
  • Experience with Android Automotive development, specifically HAL development.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
  • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems.

Good-to-Have:

  • Experience with Dead Reckoning technologies.
  • Familiarity with automotive electrical architecture.
  • Experience with xTS certification testing.
  • Knowledge of sensor fusion techniques.
  • Experience with automotive testing methodologies and tools.

Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field
