Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

  • Carry out the Annual calibration planning and calibrate the equipment.
  • Carry out the MSA plan and conduct the GR&R analysis for measurement job.     
  • Inspection of product dimension by correct CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) program and procedure.
  • Dimensional Inspection by using the CMM to ensure quality according to customer standards and specifications.
  • Establish the calibration schedule and regular calibration of equipment in the plant.
  • Register QC Tool, Jig, and Fixture.
  • Lead and monitor the Measurement team

RESPONSIBILITIES

    CMM Measurement and Analysis:

    • Review and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications to develop measurement plans and coordinate measurement strategies
    • Manage the operation of quality test and inspection and liaison programs in CMM.
    • Support to monitor tester performance and analyze recorded data to prevent failure during production
    • Check and make record all Tool, Jig and Fixture that are used for dimensional control in the line and in QC.
    • Check product dimensions in accordance with approved drawing and/or inspection standard.
    • Generate and record measuring results in designated form. Archive of the reports for traceability.
    • Prompt feedback results of nonconforming to concerned Technical, Production and Quality Team.
    • Escalate quality issues to superior when an abnormal situation happens.
    • Involved in problem solving process and implement agreed actions to improve product and process quality.

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CMM measurement engineers and technicians, ensuring a high level of performance and professional growth.
    • Assign tasks and monitor team progress to ensure that measurement activities are completed on time and to specification.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting continuous learning and best practices in CMM measurement.
    • Provide On Job Training for new team members.

    Job Requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, equivalent experience in a similar role.
    • Proven experience as a CMM Engineer or CMM Measurement Leader, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in dimensional measurement and CMM operations.
    • Strong knowledge of CMM software (e.g., Zeiss Calypso, PC-DMIS, etc.) and hardware, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
    • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and various quality control standards. 
    • Understand 2D, 3D drawings.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a technical team.
    • English communication skills.
