Embedded Firmware Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our R&D team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining firmware for embedded systems used in our innovative products. This role involves close collaboration with hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers to deliver high-performance and reliable embedded solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement firmware for embedded systems and microcontrollers, such as ARM Cortex-M, C2000, and 8-bit families.

2. Develop and maintain device drivers, communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN), and finte state machine).

3. Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and interface specifications.

4. Perform debugging, testing, and validation of firmware on target hardware.

5. Optimize firmware for performance, power consumption, and memory usage.

6. Document firmware design, code, and testing procedures.

7. Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

8. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, or related field.

2. Proven experience in embedded firmware development (2+ years preferred).

3. Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.

4. Familiarity with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, STM8, C2000).

5. Experience with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).

6. Knowledge of low-level hardware interfacing.

7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C).
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., C#) for test automation.
