Job Description

The Head of Quality Assurance is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's quality management system to ensure all products meet food safety regulations, company standards, and customer expectations.

This position leads quality assurance activities across suppliers, warehouses, stores, and private label products while ensuring compliance with Vietnamese regulations and international food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System

  • Develop and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Establish quality standards, SOPs, policies, and quality control procedures.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of quality standards across all business functions.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits.

2. Supplier Quality Management

  • Develop supplier qualification and approval processes.
  • Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with food safety, legal, and quality requirements.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs with suppliers.

3. Product Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all products comply with applicable regulations and company standards.
  • Review product specifications, labeling, packaging, and documentation.
  • Manage product quality incidents, customer complaints, and product recalls when necessary.
  • Analyze quality trends and implement improvement initiatives.

4. Private Label Development

  • Lead quality assurance activities for private label products.
  • Review product formulations, ingredients, packaging materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with suppliers and Product Development teams to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Approve product specifications before commercial launch.

5. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Vietnamese food safety regulations and relevant international standards.
  • Maintain necessary product registrations, declarations, and compliance documentation.
  • Act as the company's quality representative during inspections by regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and assess impacts on business operations.

6. Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, coach, and develop the Quality Assurance team.
  • Set department objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.
  • Foster a culture of quality, food safety, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirement

Education

•    Bachelor's Degree or above in Food Technology, Food Science, Quality Management, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related fields.

Experience

•   Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or Technical Management.

•   At least 3–5 years in a leadership role.

•   Experience in Food Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Supermarket Chains, or Private Label development.

•    Strong experience managing supplier quality programs and regulatory compliance.

•    Speak well Enghlish
