HSE Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain HSE Management System in compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and company standards.

• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure Permit to Work compliance (hot work, confined space, electrical).

• Supervise machine safety, fire prevention, chemical management, and PPE compliance.

• Lead or support incident investigation, report root causes, and monitor corrective actions.

• Manage waste, emissions, and environmental performance in line with IFC EHS Guidelines and local regulations.

• Conduct HSE induction, toolbox talks, and safety training for employees and contractors.

• Maintain HSE records, documentation, and performance reports (accidents, near misses, KPIs).

• Support internal & external audits, and cooperate with authorities on safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in HSE within wood, furniture, or manufacturing industry.

• Knowledge of risk assessment, fire & chemical safety, waste management, and regulatory compliance.

• Certificates in ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / Fire Safety are a plus.

• Good English communication and MS Office proficiency.

• Responsible, proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about safety and sustainability.
