Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are a Group holding servicing/ hospitality company, based in the central of HCMC. We are expanding rapidly and looking for talents to join our team.

The Head of HR/ HR Director serves as the Country-level HR Lead, overseeing the overall human resources function while driving strategic support across all Business Units (BUs) within the Group. This role goes beyond traditional HR operations, combining high-level strategic vision with deep operational insight to act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on organizational architecture, company culture, compensation & benefits, and leadership development.

Report to: BODs (expat)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic People & Business Alignment

  • Partner directly with the CEO and BU Leaders to build a workforce strategy that supports business expansion and scaling.
  • Identify capability gaps within BUs and proactively design structure, roles, and talent strategies to address them.
  • Serve as a key sounding board for executive decision-making regarding organizational design, leadership alignment, and business transformation.
  • Drive and oversee the Group's annual Human Capital Planning & Personnel Budgeting process; manage labor cost optimization, headcount planning, and HR Operational Expenditures to ensure alignment with financial targets and business P&L.

2. Culture Building, Engagement & Leadership Development

  • Act as the custodian of our Group culture. Build a deep understanding of the Group's values and behaviours, and cascade them consistently across all BUs, entities and departments.
  • Be accountable for culture building every day, embedding it in hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, recognition and how leaders run their teams, rather than treating it as a company trip or team-bonding exercise.
  • Develop and execute strategies to boost employee engagement, retention, and workplace satisfaction across diverse teams.
  • Establish leadership development programs, succession planning frameworks, and talent management pipelines to grow internal leadership capability.

3. Organizational Architecture & Policy Framework

  • Design, refine, and implement comprehensive HR frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) tailored for a multi-entity environment.
  • Continuously review and optimize organizational structures to maximize operational efficiency and alignment.

4. Total Rewards, C&B Strategy & Compliance

  • Lead the Total Rewards and Compensation & Benefits (C&B) strategy, establishing competitive benchmarking, salary structures, incentive schemes, and performance reward frameworks.
  • Ensure absolute compliance with Vietnam Labor Law, statutory regulations, and corporate governance across all operating entities.
  • Mitigate labor risks and oversee complex employee relations or legal compliance matters.

5. Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the Talent Acquisition function and HR team, ensuring recruitment strategies and headcount plans align with business growth.
  • Build, mentor, and empower direct reports and functional HR team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate effectively with Business Unit Heads and key stakeholders to address organizational talent gaps.

Job Requirement

  • Proven track record in a Country-level HR Lead, Head of HR, HR Director or equivalent senior HR management role.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in MNCs, multi-business, or multi-entity group environments, with a total headcount of at least 500 employees.
  • Strong HR strategic planning capability with a track record of advising CEOs, BODs, or C-suite executives on organizational strategy.
  • Strong expertise in culture building, employee engagement, and leadership development.
  • Deep strength in Compensation & Benefits (C&B), organizational design, manpower planning, and policy framework development.
  • Thorough understanding of Vietnam Labor Law, statutory regulations, and HR compliance standards.
  • Highly business-oriented mindset with the ability to link HR initiatives directly to commercial outcomes rather than managing pure HR operations.
  • Proven capability to lead, mentor, and empower functional HR teams and direct reports.
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills across diverse Business Units and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced English proficiency (equivalent to IELTS 6.5+) to report directly to expat BOD members and communicate effectively with BU Heads.
