Lab Technician (Toys and Footwear Testing)

1. Lab Technician (Toys Testing): 1

• Assures all testing equipment, testing machines are in well conditions, in validity calibration, well operation. History of all activities: repair, maintenance, calibration must be well recorded in the assigned form accurately and correctly.
• Assures well understand standard/ test method correctly in the term of assigned testing sample/ client’s requirements.
• Training new or update standard/ test method for new Technician.
• Prepare testing equipment/ testing machine and its related documents for new accreditation VILAS when company requires.
• Assures laboratory is in conditions: tiny, well organize, and ready to order. Daily records environment data (temperature, humidity) into the assigned form. Manage all tools, supporting tools and equipment are well organized and ready to use.
• Daily monitor sample status of each sample and update its testing status into the company list of sample-need to issue to customers in the day.
• Encourages technician/ engineer in innovation/ improvement working method and apply theory knowledge into daily job, all their achievement/ innovation will be recognized and recorded in performance evaluation, evaluating timely in quarter.
• Assures all tested sample in toy, candle, food contact item sample are tested to follow client’s requirements accurately and correctly.
• Assures all labelling & its packaging in toy, candle, food contact item sample are complied with standards, regulations & client’s requirements.
• Assures all tested sample in toy, candle, food contact item are complied with current regulations/ standards in related industries (16 CFR 1501, 16 CFR 1500.48, 16 CFR 1500.49, 16 CFR 1500.50, 16 CFR 1500.51, 16 CFR 1500.52, 16 CFR 1500.53, ASTM F963, 16 CFR 1500.44, SOR/2011-17, EN 71-1, EN 71-2, AS.NZS/ ISO 8124-1, AS.NZS/ ISO 8124-2, EN IEC 62115, AS/NZS 62115, EN 17885, EN 1183, EN 15284,  v.v.
• Technical advice/ standard advice to customer or related department: sales department, customer services department, test assignment department, invoicing department.
• Attending all training courses of standard or related technical.
• Self-awareness and aware all team members of the working job in safety manner: electric safety, fire safety, high pressure equipment safety.
• Regularly Report to Hardline Team Leader.

2. Lab Technician (Footwear Testing)

• Perform the assigned physical tests and evaluate test results to ensure complying with the standards within turnaround time.
• Review and interpreter test results before giving to data entry
• Capable to read and understand international test standard and follow test procedure properly
• Ensure all equipment are operated properly and done calibration, maintenance/ verification in required interval.
• Support lab manager/supervisor for updating quality documents/ test development & validation
• Ensure the chemicals, glass-wear, consumables are stored properly as per safety procedures and do tracking to ensure the minimum stock for smooth operation within the test scope.
• Comply with laboratory quality management and safety guidelines, keep working area organized and be safe.
• Be responsible for other tasks as authorized or assigned by the Lab Manager/ Supervisor

• 1-3 years of experience in related testing field: Chemical, Textile, Engineering..
• College/ University of engineering field, textile engineering, materials science
• Well-read and well understand the standards of related industries) 
• Knowledge of ISO 17025   
• Communicaiton skill, Team work spirit
