Lead Electrical Engineer, Power Transmission and Distribution

• Taking responsibility for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the electrical primary/secondary systems for high-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution systems. The candidate may have expertise in either Primary System design OR Secondary System design as follows (having competency in both is an advantage)
• Perform the primary system design, including:

- Single Line Diagram

- Substation/ Switchyard Layout (including section views)

- Earthing and Lightning Protection Design

- Conductor/ Busbar sizing

• Perform the secondary system design, including:

- Protection and Metering Single Line Diagram

- Control and Protection Schematic Diagram

- Termination Drawings

- Control and Protection Panel design

• Having experience in the following studies/software packages is an advantage:

- Power system studies (load flow/ short circuit/ protection/ arc flash using ETAP / SKM/ PSSE/ DigSilent Powerfactory)

- Short circuit force calculation

- Corona effects study

- Earthing and Lightning studies (using CDEGS)

- EMF/EMI studies (using CDEGS)

- EMT studies (using PSCAD)

- Technical specifications for electrical equipment

• Project management and people leadership skills are a mandatory requirement.

Job Requirements

• Graduated from university in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related field
• Having more than 10 years of experience in high-voltage substation design
• Strong communication skills in English (both speaking and writing) including writing technical reports
• Strong analytical abilities, proficiency with computer modeling software, and a deep understanding of electrical systems and standards.
• Software skills (preferred): ETAP, SKM, PSSE, PSCAD, DigSilent-
• PowerFactory, CDEGS, CYMCAP, EPlan, AutoCAD…
