Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Monitor and track shipment statuses daily to ensure on-time delivery and proactively address delays.
- Coordinate with vendors, warehouses, and transportation providers to resolve scheduling conflicts or logistical challenges when assigned.
- Prepare accurate and complete transportation documents, including delivery notes, claim requests, change requests…
Data Management:
- Regularly update logistics databases with shipment details, and delivery schedules, ensuring real-time accuracy.
- Tracking and monitoring performance of logistics vendor to improve operational activities and decision making.
- Ensure timely execution and validation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions to prevent data discrepancies.
- Generate and distribute weekly and monthly reports on key logistics metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, distribution costs, and inventory discrepancies, to support decision-making.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze logistics workflows to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, or delays and recommend actionable improvements.
- Contribute to specific projects focused on cost-saving initiatives, such as route optimization or supplier negotiation, and support efforts to reduce lead times.
Collaboration:
- Partner with internal team and store operations teams to ensure seamless distribution and replenishment processes.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with stakeholders ( external and internal) to resolve shipment issues, missing documentation, or delivery discrepancies.
Compliance:
- Supporting in verification that all logistics activities align with company policies, industry standards, and local/international regulations.
Assist in preparing detailed documentation for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with import/export requirements.
