Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Import-Export & Logistics Manager with experience in manufacturing to lead and optimize end-to-end import-export operations. The role ensures efficient coordination across departments to meet production, shipping, and customer requirements while maintaining quality, regulatory compliance, and cost control. This position is responsible for managing all import and export activities, ensuring compliance with government regulations, optimizing logistics performance, and supporting overall business objectives. The role works closely with internal departments, suppliers, customs authorities, and logistics partners to ensure smooth cross-border operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Import-Export & Logistics Operations

  • Manage daily import and export operations to ensure timely deliveries, export performance, and cost-effective shipment execution based on Incoterms.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure accuracy of shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, customs declarations, etc.).
  • Manage logistics costs and ensure appropriate allocation into finished goods pricing.
  • Track and ensure achievement of OTIF (On-Time In-Full) KPIs.

2. Customs Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with customs regulations and internal company policies.
  • Work with customs brokers and authorities to resolve clearance issues.
  • Manage HS code classification and ensure accuracy in duty and tax calculations.
  • Ensure accurate customs reporting and support duty refund procedures.

3. Regulatory & Risk Management

  • Monitor changes in import/export laws and regulations.
  • Support and coordinate audits related to customs compliance.
  • Strengthen internal control systems to reduce compliance risks.

4. Process Improvement

  • Review and improve import-export processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain Work Instructions (WI) for import, export, and logistics operations.

5. Team Management

  • Lead and supervise the import-export team.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure team productivity.

6. Cost Control & Optimization

  • Negotiate contracts with logistics service providers.
  • Control logistics costs and customs duties.

Job Requirement

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of experience in import/export/logistics at a similar position, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry, FDI environments.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, shipping procedures, transportation, and logistics management.
  • Experience with ERP or supply chain management systems and customs systems.
  • Knowledge of trade agreements and tariff regulations.
  • Experience managing import-export logistics in manufacturing FDI companies.

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in international manufacturing or FDI companies.
  • Strong understanding of global trade compliance and logistics optimization.
  • Experience driving process improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
