1. JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Capability Development Manager is responsible for planning, designing, and executing training & capability development programs tailored for the Factory, Supply Chain, R&D teams, etc. (functions based in the manufacturing sites). The primary focus of this role is to closely collaborate with Manufacturing Site Heads, Factory-based Function Leaders to identify competency gaps, craft end-to-end training proposals, and leverage site HR teams for smooth execution. Additionally, this role serves as the key bridge with the Headquarters CoE team to drive corporate-wide Learning, Talent Development, and Employee Engagement initiatives at the factory site while maintaining site-level oversight to foster a positive working culture.
2. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- End-to-End Capability & Training Delivery:
Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA), design capability frameworks, and construct detailed proposals and learning paths for Factory and R&D personnel (from “A to E”)
Personally drive the implementation, delivery, and evaluation of technical, operational, and soft-skills training programs.
- Stakeholder Management & Alignment:
Partner closely with Factory Heads and key department heads (based in the factories) to gain alignment on learning strategies, priorities, and budget allocation.
Act as a trusted HR partner in advising business leaders on workforce development solutions.
- Headquarters CoE Collaboration & Rollout:
Partner closely with the HQ CoE (Center of Excellence) team to adapt, align, and effectively deploy corporate-wide initiatives across Learning, Talent Development, and Employee Engagement within the manufacturing sites.
Act as the site representative to ensure corporate HR programs are localized, relevant, and successfully adopted on the ground.
- Local HR Alignment & Execution:
Lead and coordinate with local site HR teams (acting as extended operational arms) to execute training activities effectively on the ground.
- Training Vendor Management:
Liaise and collaborate with domestic/foreign training providers/experts for specialized technical programs, primarily serving the Manufacturing and R&D division when needed.
