Job Description

  • Develop CNC programs for upholstery (UPH) frames for new product development, R&D activities, and cost estimation purposes.
  • Create CNC programs for Low Melt Fiber, Foam, and PU components to support production and product development requirements.
  • Collaborate with CI, Production, Maintenance, Training, R&D, and 3D Design teams to support machine setup, process improvement, and new product sample development.
  • Modify and optimize CNC programs to troubleshoot production issues, improve machine performance, and ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
  • Evaluate machine setups, cycle times, operator movements, and production flow to identify opportunities for productivity improvement, waste reduction, ergonomics, and cost savings.
  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ensure all related updates are completed accurately and on time.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of CNC software, hardware, and manufacturing technologies to maximize production efficiency and equipment capability.
  • Participate actively in training, team collaboration, continuous improvement initiatives, and other projects assigned by the Department Manager.

Job Requirement

1. Education:

  • Required - Graduated from college/university with Engineering major, technical, graphics design, CNC Programming.

2. Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year working on a CNC controlled machine desired and a good knowledge of how a CNC program works.
  • Experience in woodworking or furniture manufacturing.
  • Expert user of Excel and statistical analysis.

3. Knowledge of:

  • Cam software, Sigma nest, G-code, Fanuc controllers, part nesting, and operation of CNC equipment.
  • Documents Management Systems.
  • Solids Modeling software, CAM software.
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools.
  • Record Management.​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

4. Skills and abilities: 

  • Good command of English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive, energetic, and willing to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Positive mindset with the ability to adapt to changes and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional attitude when dealing with employees, vendors, and customers.

5. Working conditions:

  • Willing to work in rotating shifts (day/night rotation every 3 months).
