Job Summary
We are seeking a highly competent and versatile Senior M&E Engineer to join our Project Management team. The ideal candidate must possess a strategic balance of expertise, with approximately 60-70% focus on Construction & Site Management and 30-40% on Design Management and Coordination.
The primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership and support to the Senior Project Manager/Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager in overseeing all M&E engineering aspects—from planning and design optimization to site implementation, testing, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Management & Construction Supervision (60-70%)
- Proactively oversee on-site M&E installations to ensure adherence to approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.
- Lead the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) phase and oversee defects rectification to ensure all systems are fully operational before handover.
- Resolve technical clashes and site-related engineering issues promptly to minimize project delays.
- Monitor contractor performance, workmanship quality, and progress against the project baseline.
- Attend site meetings and lead Construction, Implementation & Quality Control (QC) sessions.
2. Design Management & Coordination (30-40%)
- Assist the Project Management team in checking, reviewing, and optimizing M&E designs prepared by consultants for cost-effectiveness and buildability.
- Review and recommend for approval all M&E shop drawings and material submissions from contractors, ensuring coordination with architectural and structural elements.
- Evaluate detailed alternative designs and engineering solutions to improve project efficiency.
- Ensure that accurate and coordinated design information is disseminated to contractors in a timely manner.
3. General Project Administration
- Track and monitor the full lifecycle of M&E activities, including design development, tender documentation, and contract implementation.
- Liaise with internal departments (Branding, IT, Legal), consultants, and authorities regarding infrastructure and engineering matters.
- Ensure compliance with all Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) regulations and company policies.
