Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly competent and versatile Senior M&E Engineer to join our Project Management team. The ideal candidate must possess a strategic balance of expertise, with approximately 60-70% focus on Construction & Site Management and 30-40% on Design Management and Coordination.

The primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership and support to the Senior Project Manager/Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager in overseeing all M&E engineering aspects—from planning and design optimization to site implementation, testing, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Management & Construction Supervision (60-70%)

  • Proactively oversee on-site M&E installations to ensure adherence to approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.
  • Lead the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) phase and oversee defects rectification to ensure all systems are fully operational before handover.
  • Resolve technical clashes and site-related engineering issues promptly to minimize project delays.
  • Monitor contractor performance, workmanship quality, and progress against the project baseline.
  • Attend site meetings and lead Construction, Implementation & Quality Control (QC) sessions.

2. Design Management & Coordination (30-40%)

  • Assist the Project Management team in checking, reviewing, and optimizing M&E designs prepared by consultants for cost-effectiveness and buildability.
  • Review and recommend for approval all M&E shop drawings and material submissions from contractors, ensuring coordination with architectural and structural elements.
  • Evaluate detailed alternative designs and engineering solutions to improve project efficiency.
  • Ensure that accurate and coordinated design information is disseminated to contractors in a timely manner.

3. General Project Administration

  • Track and monitor the full lifecycle of M&E activities, including design development, tender documentation, and contract implementation.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Branding, IT, Legal), consultants, and authorities regarding infrastructure and engineering matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) regulations and company policies.

Job Requirement

Requirements (Job Specifications)

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or MEP Engineering.
  • Experience: * Minimum 5–8 years of experience in M&E project management.
  • Proven track record with a "70/30" or "60/40" split between site execution and design review.
  • Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or township developments is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: * Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); familiarity with BIM/Revit is a significant advantage.
  • Deep understanding of local building codes (TCVN) and international engineering standards.
  • Strong ability to read and critique complex technical drawings.
  • Soft Skills: * Excellent problem-solving skills and a "hands-on" approach at the construction site.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for managing consultants and contractors.
  • Professional proficiency in English (for correspondence, documentation, and reporting).
