Quality Technician (In- Process & Material)

Position Summary

Ensures that all products meet customer requirements through quality inspections, product testing, and corrective action processes. This includes both internal and external customer expectations across the production process, maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Daily

• Check and record mattress firmness to make sure products meet quality standards.
• Test materials like fabric, foam, and fiber to confirm they are strong and reliable.
• Complete daily quality reports for materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Help with quality checks and reports for new product approvals (PPAP).
• Monitor quality issues and report them quickly for correction.

Weekly

• Compile and report weekly inspection results for raw materials, mattress covers, and finished goods.
• Monitor and report weekly mattress firmness test results to quickly detect any quality issues.
• Analyze material strength test results to ensure consistent quality.
• Support in checking and verifying Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for key raw materials used in production.

Additional Responsibility

• Conduct monthly inventory verification for mattress covers, ensuring physical stock aligns with system records.
• Highlight and report any significant variances or inventory control issues to relevant departments

Job Requirements

• Minimum intermediate or higher technical degree in Quality, Engineering, Industrial or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar technical or quality assurance role
• Experience in drafting reports and collating quality data
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) for documentation, data analysis and reporting
