Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve exhibition revenue and exhibitor acquisition targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, industry segments, and strategic accounts to expand market share.
- Develop sales plans for each exhibition, including target industries, customer segmentation, and sales approach.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
2. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Set sales KPIs and monitor team performance through regular pipeline reviews and one-on-one coaching.
- Support team members in prospecting, negotiations, and closing strategic or high-value exhibitors.
- Conduct sales training on prospecting, objection handling, negotiation, and customer relationship management.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-focused sales culture.
3. Sales Pipeline & Forecast Management
- Ensure the team maintains a healthy sales pipeline with sufficient coverage to achieve revenue targets.
- Monitor pipeline quality, conversion rates, sales activities, and forecasting accuracy.
- Review sales reports and identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement sales processes, tools, and best practices to improve productivity and forecasting.
4. Key Account Management
- Personally manage strategic exhibitors and major accounts.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with exhibitors, buyers, industry associations, and business partners.
- Lead negotiations for complex or high-value agreements.
- Drive customer retention, repeat participation, referrals, and upselling opportunities.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing team to align lead generation and exhibitor acquisition strategies.
- Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure successful exhibitor onboarding and event execution.
- Collaborate with headquarters and overseas offices on international sales initiatives and cross-border projects.
6. Reporting & Business Analysis
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports for management.
- Analyze sales performance, pipeline health, win/loss ratios, and revenue trends.
- Provide recommendations to improve sales effectiveness and business performance.
- Present sales forecasts and business updates to senior management.
