SUMMARY
- Job Title: Data Steward.
- Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field.
- Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
- Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
ROLES
The Data Steward is responsible for the management and oversight of an organization’s data assets. This role ensures that data is accurate, consistent, and accessible, while also safeguarding it from unauthorized access or breaches. The Data Steward collaborates with various business units to define and enforce data governance policies, ensure data quality, and support data-related projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Governance:
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Define and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data management best practices.
- Data Quality Management:
- Monitor and assess data quality, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform regular data audits to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data.
- Work with IT and business teams to resolve data quality issues.
- Data Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, data flows, and data dictionaries.
- Ensure that metadata is accurately captured and maintained.
- Data Security and Compliance:
- Ensure data compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Work closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and IT security teams to safeguard sensitive data.
- Implement data security measures to prevent unauthorized access and breaches.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with various departments to understand data needs and provide data-related support.
- Train and support staff on data governance policies and best practices.
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT to ensure data needs are met.
- Data Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the lifecycle of data from creation and use to archiving and disposal.
- Ensure that data retention policies are followed.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports on data quality metrics, data usage, and compliance.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
