Position summary:
- Ensure timely and accurate updates of freight rates and free time for respective trade lanes in TMS for Geneva’s Pricing Liner approval.
- Corporate with other teams and agents to ensure freights in system matches with contracts, sales quotations and adheres to the company’s regulations.
- Run reports and correct errors regarding to freight rates and other kind reports (if requested).
- Issue EMC if required by Freight Control Manager.
- Follow and clear daily correction MFTC report.
- Perform other duties assigned by Freight Control Manager and Freight Senior Executive.
Key responsibilities:
- Resolve GVA query and customer disputes on rates discrepancies (rate agreed by sales team differs from the rate billed to customer) by checking through the entire approval process to rectify the rates.
- Verify data in booking vs approval from GVA / ARO Commercial Liner and ensure filing in TMS to ensure correspondence of the respective attachment uploaded.
- Update rate and other surcharges in booking and bill levels.
- Submit the rates and free time in TMS for CNF shipments for Geneva’s Pricing Liner approval.
- Resolve GVA’s/ARO’S query and customer disputes on rates discrepancies (rate quoted in contract / sales offer differs from the rate billed to customer) by checking through the entire approval process to rectify the rates.
- Issue EMC once dispute done and keep related departments informed to adjust invoice, collect more money or refund payment for customer.
- Attend to issue EMC request from TMS corrector.
- Send debit notes to customers for their prechecking and payment.
- Handle rate request for Change of Destination (CODs), shipping back, and other optional charges by customs.
- Follow payment and keep accounting team informed for special handing cases.
- Check and clear K/O in MFTC daily report.
- Execute other tasks assigned by Freight Control Manager.
- Check and clear daily and monthly corrector reports.
- Make other kinds of reports (if requested).
Key experience & qualifications:
- University graduation in Logistics, Maritime, Shipping, Sea Economics or equivalent at least 1 year of direct or relevant experience in shipping industry
- Preferably experience related to shipping, logistics

- Freight is manifested correctly and timely.
- Clerical error is eliminated or minimized.
- EMCs ratio is reduced.
- The number of incorrect invoices is limited.
- Timeline to issue correct invoice is improved.
- KPI reports meet the target set by GVA.
