The LIS Administrator is responsible for leading and optimizing the Laboratory Information System, focusing on advancing lab automation, enhancing workflows, and ensuring robust IT infrastructure. This role collaborates with lab and IT teams to provide high-quality, efficient solutions and adhere to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
LIMS Enhancement: Lead and manage LIS and LIMS features to improve lab efficiency and client outcomes, aligning system capabilities with business goals.
Workflow & Automation Development: Design frameworks, workflows, and IT methodologies for seamless lab automation, focusing on efficiency and reliability.
Data Analysis & Process Optimization: Analyze lab operations, including turnaround times (TAT), result quality, and cost-effectiveness, to drive continuous improvements.
24/7 IT Infrastructure Oversight: Manage LIS infrastructure and team to ensure continuous system availability, addressing issues proactively and ensuring adherence to security, ISO, CAP, and related protocols.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between lab teams, IT, and vendors, ensuring coordinated system upgrades, troubleshooting, and user support.
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in IT, with at least 2 years in LIS or LIMS systems.
Skills: Expertise in LIS management, system troubleshooting, automation processes, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of security and quality standards, such as ISO, CAP, and relevant regulatory requirements.
