Demand Planning (Supervisor)

Job Description

Demand Planning and Analysis

· Develop accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and relevant factors, and align forecasts with sales budget, business needs, and supply chain constraints

· Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development (PD) teams to gather insights and incorporate market intelligence into demand forecasts

· Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various factors (financial/ non-financial) on demand forecasts

· Continuously refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and responsiveness to changing market dynamics

· Analyze demand patterns and trends to identify opportunities and risks

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

· Collaborate with S&OP, Sales & Marketing and Product Development (PD) teams to incorporate forecast dynamics like seasonality, pull-forward activity, market conditions, competitive landscape, and cannibalization into a unified S&OP plan alongside demand forecasts, production plans, inventory strategies, and financial goals

· Lead the Sales and Operations Planning process by facilitating cross-functional collaboration and consensus-building

Inventory Management

· Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with PMC and procurement teams to adjust production schedules and procurement plans as needed.

· Identify and implement inventory optimization strategies to improve inventory turns and reduce carrying costs.

Production Planning and Analysis:

· Coordinate closely with production teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts and inventory targets.

· Analyze production capacity, lead times, and resource constraints to develop feasible production plans.

Collaboration and Communication

· Communicate demand plans, forecasts, and insights to internal stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and resource allocation.

· Collaborate with suppliers and customers to exchange information and coordinate demand planning activities (if required)

Continuous Improvement

· Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and best practices in demand planning, inventory management, and S&OP

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the demand planning function and S&OP process

· Proactive contribution to the development and implementation of supply chain optimization initiatives

Other / General Responsibilities

· Follow up on ETA with the procurement team

· Generate different types of required reports and communicate with stakeholders

· Work on different projects on Supply Chain

· Any other relevant responsibilities assigned by management

Note: Some of the tasks/assignments may be equivalent to and performed by other members of the team/ department

Job Requirement

             Experience Requirement:

          - The applicants should have a minimum of 03-05 years of relevant experience in the similar industry (Label / Garment / Footwear / Printing). 

         - Have Bachelor's /Master’s degree from any recognized university, preferably in Statistics, or Business Studies.

         - Experience in Supply Chain Management will be a value addition.

         - Communication skills & analysis skills are a must

         - Problem solving skills, intelligence and sensibility. 

         - Experiencing in preparing sales data/ sales reports. Knowledge about labels/ paper printings/ RFID products is preferred.

         Educational Requirement

         - Have Bachelor's /Master’s degree from any recognized university, preferably in Statistics, or Business Studies.

          - An MBA / Post-Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management will be prefer.
