We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Product Owner / Developer (beauty) with a strong background in e-commerce and social commerce to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end product development process, ensuring beauty products are optimized for digital-first sales channels, including e-commerce platforms and social commerce (TikTok, Instagram, Shopee, Lazada, etc.).
The ideal candidate is a trend-savvy, data-driven, and customer-centric individual who understands how to create high-performing beauty products for online shoppers. With expertise in digital marketing, online sales trends, and consumer behavior in e-commerce, you will play a key role in developing products that resonate with the digital audience and drive online sales growth.
Market Research & Digital Product Strategy
Analyze beauty trends, consumer preferences, and online shopping behavior to identify market opportunities.
Develop a product roadmap optimized for e-commerce and social commerce, ensuring alignment with brand and business goals.
Identify winning product formats, pricing models, and bundling strategies tailored for online consumers.
Leverage real-time data from e-commerce platforms, search trends, and social listening tools to validate product ideas.
Product Development & Digital-Ready Optimization
Define product specifications, including formulation, ingredients, benefits, packaging, and digital-friendly attributes (e.g., visual appeal, convenience, and social-sharing potential).
Work closely with R&D, manufacturers, and packaging designers to develop products that meet e-commerce and social commerce trends.
Ensure product formats and packaging are optimized for unboxing experiences, live selling, and influencer marketing.
Conduct A/B testing with sample products, leveraging influencer and key opinion leader (KOL) feedback before launch.
Project Management & Digital Launch Execution
Oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution from development to online launch.
Collaborate with Marketing, E-commerce, and Performance Ads teams to craft high-converting product pages and ad creatives.
Align product launch strategies with key e-commerce sales events, platform promotions, and social media trends.
Define digital-first pricing, bundling offers, and flash sale strategies to drive conversions.
Performance Tracking & Iteration
Monitor sales performance, conversion rates, and customer feedback across e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, TikTok Shop, etc.).
Leverage analytics tools (Google Analytics, platform dashboards, and customer insights) to optimize product listings and offerings.
Identify opportunities for product enhancements, extensions, or pivots based on online consumer sentiment and demand shifts.
Stay updated on platform algorithm changes, social commerce trends, and emerging technologies to refine product strategy.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Development, or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in beauty product development, preferably in e-commerce or D2C brands.
Strong understanding of beauty trends, online consumer behavior, and digital shopping habits.
Experience in developing beauty products for online-first brands, with a proven track record in e-commerce performance.
Knowledge of SEO for product listings, online product storytelling, and social commerce tactics.
Ability to work with e-commerce data, customer insights, and social media engagement metrics to optimize product strategy.
Proficiency in project management tools (Trello, Asana, Jira, etc.) and data analytics platforms.
Familiarity with beauty product testing, quality control, and compliance standards.
