Senior Mechanical Sourcing Engineer

Note: This position has a strong Technical focus and is not a Procurement role.

1) Report directly to the Sourcing Manager.

2) Build RFQs from customer BOMs or samples. Obtain pricing from suppliers and integrate the data into BOMs to ensure timely responses to all quotation requests.

3) Maintain accurate records of all quotation data. Ensure quick retrieval of data to reduce response time for RFQs.

4) Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers to secure optimal support.

5) Actively participate in the supplier selection process to build a supply base that offers a competitive edge in terms of quality, cost/value, delivery, and technology.

6) Regularly review current production Bill of Materials (BOMs) to identify and source alternative local suppliers for cost savings and enhanced supply chain efficiency.

7) Cross-check product requirements and functionality. Propose alternative materials to gain a competitive advantage during the bidding process.

8) Collaborate with the teams to ensure the successful launch of new product introductions (NPIs).

9) Perform other tasks as assigned by the BOD, Engineering Sourcing Manager, or Engineering Sourcing Supervisor.

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering, Materials Engineering;

2. Experience: From 4 years of Purchasing or Sourcing experience. Be knowledgeable to resin, plastic injection or metal, casting, assembly process;

3. English: Intermediate or above reading/writing level, basic to intermediate speaking and listening. Strong communication skill;

4. Computer skill: proficient use of Excel; 

5. Other skills: 

• Analytical skill;
• Ability to self-study;
• High integrity.
